Happy New Year Everyone! I don't think I've blogged since December. Anyway, Maddie is FINALLY doing the potty training thing and doing it WELL!!!!!!! I'm so proud of my munchkin! As long as we're home she normally does great.......just takes off to the potty on her own, BUT we do have accidents still. She has gone #2 THREE times now on the potty and that's a BIG deal! I'm sure that was a little more info than you all wanted to hear, but as a mommy, it's VERY exciting to me! :) At school she ONLY wears panties! She does pretty good but still has her moments though. Kaitlyn has 2 teeth now and took 4 steps for Nana and Papa on Friday while I was at work! I was so excited! I missed it but it wasn't that big of a deal. She did it again on Saturday for Shane and I and took 6 that time! It's so much fun watching them grow up! It's sad that it goes by so fast though. Today was BEAUTIFUL and VERY warm so we enjoyed playing with bubbles!!! Here are a few pics!

Christmas 2008!

Hello all!!! I hope everyone had a good Christmas! We had a GREAT one! It's been almost 2 months since I've written a blog so I'll update you all again. Shane and I have been back together since THanksgiving day!!! YAY! It's been VERY nice! I'm so happy that we decided to work it out. Enough about that... Kaitlyn started crawling and 3 days later started pulling up on the furniture! CRAZY!!! She has tried to take steps a few times and pretty much face planted into the floor! She doesn't quite understand the balance thing yet! She will pull up on something and the let go and stand freely for a long time though! It's only a matter of time before she's walking. I'm dreading it though...once she starts walking she's no longer a baby.... :( She still has NO teeth! She's going to be 8 months old on the 6th of January and doesn't have the first tooth! I can't get over it! Maddie had 5 or 6 by now! I know, every child is different! BOY DO I KNOW! She says HEY, and sounds like she can say HOT sometimes, and the other day she screamed DA-DA really loud while throwing a fit! I was a little upset that she said Dada before mama, but I know she didn't REALLY mean to say it! :) Maddie's still little miss INDEPENDENT! I call her my little boy and Kaitlyn my little girl! Maddie's the mean one and Kaitlyn's still sweet! She's STILL NOT POTTY TRAINED, but I hope to fix that in the next couple of weeks. I am off work and Maddie is out of school until the 7th so that is the plan starting Monday!!! PLEASE PRAY FOR PATIENCE FOR ME! :) I know I will need it! She is also refusing to take naps lately and refusing to sleep in her own bed at night......I don't know what we are going to do about that! It drives me NUTS!

Shane was promoted to Assistant Manager of Pizza Hut on Christmas Eve so that was a wonderful Christmas present for him/us. He was told that he would have his own store by this summer so that's definately something to look forward to!

Christmas was VERY nice! Christmas eve the girls and I went to my brother and sister inlaw's house and Shane came later because he had to work. We exchanged gifts with everyone there and had a nice dinner. It was A LOT of fun! THe kids really had a blast playing together and opening presents. Christmas day we woke up and had presents/Santa Clause here, then everyone came to see what the girls got! They got WAY TOO MUCH STUFF! I have to go through all of their old stuff to make room for the new! We had a late lunch with mom and dad and then presents with Nanny and Grandpa! It was a LONG DAY! Maddie's biggest presents were her new Strawberry Shortcake desk and her very own COMPUTER!!!!! (NOT a real one people, it's a V-Tech that connects to her tv in her room). Then she also got a DVD/VCR for her bedroom from Nana and Papa! THANK GOODNESS! No more having to watch kiddi movies int he living room! Kaitlyn's biggest thing was her walking toy that looks like a stroller, it will help her learn out to walk! Shane and I picked out a new digital camera also so there will definately be some new pics! Well, I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Hello all! Things have been crazy lately and I haven't done a blog in about 4 months! I have LOTS of new pics but there at too many to put on here so I'll have to pick and choose! First I'll start of with stuff about the girls! Maddie is LOVING preschool now! She comes home and sings a new song almost everyday! It's so funny! She entertains her teachers, so I've been told! Recently she went on her very first field trip! She had a blast but I thought I was going to have a panic attack trying to decide if I should let her go or not. I gave in and let her and I'm so glad that I did! The reason I didn't want to let her go was because I'm VERY picky about who my child rides with and on the field trips at our school the parents drive 2 to 4 kids in their cars. I don't know ANY of the parents in her class so I was worried. I'm having to slowly let her go, she's growing up way too fast! THey went to the pumpkin patch, listened to a story, had a snack, and got to pick out a pumpkin. She had a blast! We also just had Hay Day at school. All of the kids got to go on a hay ride and got to go pick out another pumpkin! That was also a fun day for her! This weekend we went with my co-teacher and her 4 children and her neighbor's child to Calvary Chapel of Gulf Breeze' Harvest Festival at Shorline Park. It was so much fun and the kids all LOVED it! I'm glad we went. Now for Kaitlyn...she's growing like a little weed and eating like a piggy! She eats oatmeal and fruit in the morning for breakfast, a jar of fruit and veg. at lunch, a jar of fruit and veg. at dinner, and oatmeal again just before bed! P-I-G-G-Y! She gets on her knees and elbows and tries to crawl or scoot! It's pretty funny! She gets mad though because she can't seem to get it figured out yet! She scoots all over if you put her on the bed or put her in her crib, but the floor is different I guess.......not sure why though! She LOVES her walker! We put her in it outside on mom and dad's carport and she practically runs in that thing! She shredded a pair of socks in it so I had to go get her some shoes! I think she's going to walk sooner than she is going to crawl!
Let's see.....what else is new.........................oh yeah, Becky, my friend from Oregon who I've been friends with since we were 6, is in town for 3 weeks. She has 2 boys, which are pretty close in age to my girls, her oldest, Kage is 3 months younger than Maddie, and her youngest, Waco, is 3 months older than Kaitlyn! Maddie and Kage see each other in pictures on the computer but have never met until now and they are soooooooooo funny and WILD together! Becky and I have had a good time catching up and also got to get together for dinner with some friends from high school that we haven't seen in 8 years! WOW! I feel OLD now!
Halloween was fun! The girls were both little bumble bees! We went trick or treating with some of my friends from high school, Pamela, her daughter Leila, Lori, her husband, Evan, and their children, Skylar and Ayden, and Troy and his two little boys. We had a lot of fun! Maddie LOVED trick or treating!
Also, as most of you know, Shane and I have been having problems and are currently separated. The girls and I are at mom and dad's and Shane's in Milton. Please keep us all in your prayers that we can work this out and get back together as a HAPPY family. Hope you all enjoy our updated blog and I'll be posting pics as I pick through them!

Hello everyone!!! It's been a while since I've written a blog so I thought I'd update you all! Maddie's been potty training, although, she has her days! I didn't think it would be this difficult but it is! Everyone says she'll go when she's ready so I just have to chill out and try to encourage her anyway! She did great for about a week, but now it's MAYBE once a day.
Also, I GOT A JOB!!! I'm going to be teaching 2 year olds at First Baptist Church Christian Preschool! I'm really excited and nervous at the same time, but I know it will be good for me to get back out there in the working world again! I need some adult interaction in my life! It's a PRESCHOOL, not a daycare. The children only attend Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 9 - 1. I have 10 children on my roll but only 8 will come at a time, because not all of the children come all three days. The best part is I only have 8 children and I will ALWAYS have an assistant!!! It's totally different than anything I've done in the past. I worked at Pace for 7 years but this is sooo different. I had to attend some serious curriculum training this weekend and let me just tell you all, it was TOUGH! I cried on my way home on the first day of training, and then again on my second day during lunch break! I know I'm going to do fine once I actually get in there and have my routine. Maddie gets to go also! She's SUPER excited about going to school! She can't wait! I drove her by her new school the other day and she was mad because we didn't go inside! :) She will get to meet her teacher on Tuesday, the 19th and school starts on the 20th!
I can't believe it but Maddie is going to be 3 years old on the 2nd! It's AMAZING how fast they grow up! I miss my little SWEET Maddie! The older she gets the more mean she gets! They say "Terrible Twos", but I'm pretty sure it's the "Terrible Threes"! I love her to death but the other day, Kaitlyn was in her bouncy chair in the living room while Maddie was watching tv and I was trying to cook dinner. Kaitlyn was crying and Maddie got mad because she couldn't hear the tv so she flipped the chair over. I heard Kaitlyn screaming so I poked my head around the corner only to find her laying on the living room floor and Maddie RUNNING to her room! WHAT A MEANY!
